Burnham-On-Sea’s 71st Sailing Regatta is set to take start this weekend with races around Bridgwater Bay.

The event is being held over two weekends, with gig rowing and yacht races taking place in the estuary that should be visible to seafront walkers, weather permitting.

The first day of regatta sailing racing will be held at 9.15am on Saturday (July 6th) with a second sailing race at 10am on Sunday (July 7th) when gig racing will also take place.

The third race will be held on Saturday July 13th at 4.15pm and then the final race will be held on Sunday July 14th at 5pm to determine this year’s overall winner, followed by the prizegiving.
